| About Emily Boyle Dispute Resolution |
|
After over 40 years of practice in the field of labor and employment, business and commercial litigation, Emily Boyle's focus is now primarily to serve as a neutral in employment, discrimination, wage & hour, contract, real estate and commercial cases. For the past 20 plus years, Ms. Boyle has been acting as a private mediator, as an arbitrator and mediator on the American Arbitration Association Employment Law/Commercial panel, and as a mediator for the Los Angeles Superior Court ADR program on both the pro bono and party pay panels. Ms. Boyle started her legal career as an in-house labor/ employment counsel for a Fortune 500 corporation, Unocal, in downtown Los Angeles. Thereafter she served as a senior employment law litigator for two large national firms, including one of the largest employment firms in the country. For the past 25 years she has been working as a partner with Jonathan W. Biddle handling litigation for both Plaintiffs and Defendants, in the areas of discrimination, sexual harassment, public policy, class action, wage and hour litigation and appellate work. The firm has been responsible for obtaining multi million dollar verdicts in individual plaintiff and class action cases and has successfully defended numerous employers in individual employment and class action cases.
Unlike many other neutrals, Emily Boyle's legal background has given her a unique perspective to dispute resolution from all sides of the conflict; that of in-house counsel, defense counsel, plaintiff's counsel and appellate counsel. This background allows her to connect with attorneys and their clients, gain the trust of all of the parties and effectively bring the case to resolution. |
